This record is easily one of my recent favorites. A friend at school introduced me to The Tallest Man On Earth aka the Swedish musician Kristian Matsson right around finals, and I've been listening to him all summer. His sound (mostly his distinct voice) may take a bit to grow on you, but I can assure you that this album is incredible.His style can most easily be compared to a stripped down Bob Dylan at his most folky of the folk moments. Also, for all you guitarists out there, Matsson does play in some very fascinating tunings that I had never seen prior to hearing him.
My favorite track is definitely "King of Spain" but the whole album is honestly solid, I listen to it start to end without skipping a song.
I know I like all the stuff I post, that's why I post it, but seriously give this one a listen.
