Akron/Family-Love is Simple

Feeling like listening to something interesting? Snag this album, it is awesome. Crazy experimental psychedelic folk...really quite trippy. A few of the songs have these really cool tribal breakdowns and nice instrumentation, while others are more on the mellow traditional folky side.

This is a hard album to categorize, just download it and listen up. Maybe you can handle the weirdness, maybe you can't. Only one way to find out.

Thievery Corporation-Radio Retalliation

Thievery Corporation are pretty different from every I've posted thus far. They are essential a DJ duo, with varying other artists (usually singers) featured on their songs. The style ranges from trip-hop, to dub, to reggae, to even acid jazz. It is a pretty trippy kick back album and I definitely believe it merits a listen by whoever is reading this.

Just don't expect any adrenaline pumpers or upbeat anthems to add to your spring quarter personal soundtrack, I'll post some of those later.
